Two people were killed and three others injured in a multiple-vehicle wreck in Prince George’s County Monday afternoon, fire officials said.
The crash, which occurred shortly after 2 p.m. on the 13600 block of Central Avenue, involved two tractor trailers and at least two passenger vehicles, said Mark Brady, a Prince George’s County fire department spokesman.
The two people killed in the crash were trapped in their vehicles and pronounced dead on the scene, Mr. Brady said.
Firefighters rescued the driver of one of the tractor trailers, who was transported to the hospital for serious, non-life threatening injuries, Mr. Brady said.
Central Avenue is closed in the area of Route 193 and Six Flags, Mr. Brady said. He could not comment on circumstances of the crash as they are under investigation.
