Mickelson to shoot for charity at halftime

SAN DIEGO (AP) - Phil Mickelson is scheduled to attempt a 100-yard shot at halftime of Monday night’s Broncos-Chargers game that could net as much as $1 million for First Book, a nonprofit organization that provides new books for children in need.

Standing in one end zone, Mickelson will aim for a target shaped like a green in the other end zone. The green ($50,000/20,000 books) will have three rings ranging from $100,000/40,000 books for the outermost ring to $1 million/400,000 books for hitting the bull’s eye.
