A Northeast man was tracked to Georgia and extradited to the District on murder charges for an August shooting, D.C. police said Tuesday.

D.C. police spokesman Officer Araz Alali said 22-year-old Sean Carter was charged with first-degree murder while armed in connection with the death of 22-year-old Bidley Warren.

Warren was found by police at about 10:15 p.m. Aug. 23 on the 1000 block of Rhode Island Avenue Northeast unconscious, unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound.

Mr. Carter was tracked to Fulton County, Ga., and arrested Oct. 3. He returned to the District on Monday.
