INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Andretti Autosport will enter Carlos Munoz in the Indianapolis 500 next season.
The team will also field the No. 26 entry for Munoz for the 2013 Firestone Indy Lights season.
The 20-year old from Colombia ran his first season in Lights last year for Andretti. He finished fifth in the standings with wins at Edmonton and Fontana. He ended the year with five podiums and nine top-10 finishes.
If Munoz makes the Indy 500 field next May, it will be his IndyCar Series debut.
It marks the first time in Andretti Autosport history the team has entered cars in both the Indy Lights and Indy 500 races at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in consecutive seasons. The team did it last May with Sebastian Saavedra.
