RG3, Redskins out of sync in 27-12 loss to Steelers

- The Washington Times - Sunday, October 28, 2012

PITTSBURGH — Robert Griffin III finally looked like a rookie going through growing pains Sunday, suffering through his first rough game in the NFL as the Washington Redskins lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers 27-12.

Griffin did not throw an interception, but he was far from crisp on a rainy day at Heinz Field against a defense that seemed to have an answer for every Redskins play. He finished 16-for-34 for 177 yards and a touchdown.

Griffin was victimized by several drops by intended targets, but many of his throws were off the mark.

On defense, the Redskins similarly had no way of stopping Ben Roethlisberger, who threw for 222 yards and three touchdowns, dropping to 3-5 on the year.
