A 50-year-old man was struck by a car and killed Saturday night, Prince George’s County police said.
Spokesman Cpl. Larry Johnson said that alcohol was likely a factor in the death, but it was the victim who was impaired and not the driver.
Police responded to calls at about 8:59 p.m., in the 9400 block of Annapolis Road. Cpl. Johnson said the Lanham man attempted to cross the street without using an intersection or crosswalk, when he was struck by a car driven by a 20-year-old man.
The driver stayed on the scene.
