A pedestrian was killed in a hit and run Saturday night, Prince George’s County police said.

Cpl. Maria McKinney said that at about 8:33 p.m., police were called to the 5400 block of Silver Hill Road in Suitland, where they found a man unresponsive in the road. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Cpl. McKinney said.

A witness said the car involved was a white Chevy Impala.

No further information was available about the victim or driver’s identity, Cpl. McKinney said. Police are still investigating where the victim was walking when he was hit by the car.
