Keselowski shows toughness with ride at Kansas

KANSAS CITY, KAN. (AP) - Brad Keselowski wasn't daunted by going a lap down Sunday at Kansas Speedway, or by having the rear end of his car ripped off after an early-lap incident.

He wasn't daunted by looming NASCAR sanctions, either, which could leave his team without some of its most important pieces for nearly two months.

Instead, he drove what was left of his No. 2 Ford to a sixth-place finish at Kansas, showing plenty of gritty resilience. The defending Sprint Cup champion is sitting third in points, trailing only Jimmie Johnson and Brad Keselowski as the series shifts to Richmond next weekend.

Said Keselowski: "It's been a long week, but you know what? We're not giving up."
