A UPS plane crashed during its approach at a Birmingham, Ala., airport early Wednesday morning, Federal Aviation Administration authorities said.

UPS officials confirmed the crash, but did not release additional details, USA Today reported. It’s not known whether anyone was injured, yet.

The Birmingham Airport Authority said in a CNN report that the wreck took place in a field just outside the fenced area of Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport.

The craft is an A300, traveling from Louisville, Ky. That type of plane normally does not transport passengers, USA Today reported.
