Thieves stole computers from a brand new D.C. high school that opened Monday for the start of the school year.
The burglary at Dunbar High School happened sometime between 11 p.m. Friday and 2 a.m. Saturday, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
Someone smashed a window on the first floor of the school, 101 N Street in Northwest, and snatched three Dell desktop computers, a police spokesman said.
The $122 million school opened for the first day of classes on Monday.
The police spokesman was unclear where inside the school the computers were taken from or whether an alarm alerted officers to the burglary. It was not known whether any surveillance cameras captured the break in, but police have no description of any suspects.
