BLAINE, Minn. (AP) _ Tom Pernice Jr. birdied the final two holes for a one-stroke victory over Jeff Sluman and Corey Pavin in the 3M Championship.

Pernice finished with a 4-under 68 and had a 17-under 199 total at the TPC Twin Cities for his second career Champions Tour victory. He also has two PGA Tour victories.

Sluman closed with a 62, and Pavin had a 66.

Trailing Sluman by one shot at the par-3 17th, Pernice made a long birdie putt to pull even. At the par-5 18th, hit his second shot to 8 feet and two-putted for the winning birdie.

MYLAN CLASSIC

CANONSBURG, Pa. (AP) _ Ben Martin won the Mylan Classic for his second Web.com Tour title of the year, shooting his third straight 4-under 67 for a five-stroke victory.

The 25-year-old former Clemson player had a 17-under 267 total at Southpointe Golf Club. He earned $121,500 to jump from fourth to second on the money list with $396,249.

Martin also won the United Leasing Championship in a playoff July 1 in Newburgh, Ind.

Kelly Kraft had a 64 to finish second.

WESTERN AMATEUR

ROLAND, Ark. (AP) _ U.S. Public Links champion Jordan Niebrugge and Sean Dale were tied playing the ninth hole Sunday when the Western Amateur final was suspended because of threatening weather.

They will finish the match Monday morning at The Alotian Club. Play was suspended at 5:40 p.m. after they hit their approaches to the ninth green, and called for the day at 7 p.m.

Niebrugge, the 6-foot-4 Oklahoma State player from Mequon, Wis., is trying to win his third straight event after following his Public Links win with a victory in the Wisconsin State Amateur.

Dale is a recent North Florida graduate.

In the morning semifinals, Niebrugge beat Arkansas’ Sebastian Cappelen 1 up, and Dale topped Texas’ Kramer Hickok 2 up.
