- The Washington Times - Wednesday, December 11, 2013

Authorities in South Africa said retired Archbishop Desmond Tutu's home was robbed while he attended Nelson Mandela's memorial services.

Police said his Cape Town home was burglarized between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Tuesday — the very time Mr. Tutu was scheduled to speak at the memorial, held at a soccer stadium in Johannesburg, the Associated Press reported.

"At this stage, we cannot give further details, as the investigation into the matter is still ongoing," the South African Police Service said in a statement. "No arrests have been made as yet.

Mr. Tutu, 82, also had his home robbed in August as he and his wife slept in their bedroom, according AP.
