Some of those who fear a war on Christmas will be pleased to learn that a Nativity scene depicting the birth of Jesus will be displayed at Florida’s Capitol in Tallahassee on Tuesday and will remain throughout the Christmas season.

A private group called the Florida Nativity Scene Committee, with the help of the Chicago-based conservative law firm Thomas More Society, funded the display, CBS Miami reported.

The scene first will portray the birth of Jesus, and then another group, Reclaim Christ for Christmas, will add the Three Wise Men said to have delivered gifts to the baby Jesus, the station said.

Howard Simon, executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Florida, said the Nativity scene will be allowed because the display will be privately funded.
