Actor Charlie Sheen recorded a video Saturday, reaching out to ex-Los Angeles police Officer Christopher Dorner, the triple-murder suspect who is the subject of a massive manhunt.
“You mentioned me in your manifesto, so thank you for your kind words,” Mr. Sheen said in the message released by TMZ. “I am urging you to call me. Let’s figure out together how to end this thing. Call me. I look forward to talking to you.”
The comments come after a manifesto by Mr. Dorner on his Facebook page was released to the public. He mentions a slew of public figures and celebrities and his adoration or condemnation of them. His message to Mr. Sheen read, “Charlie Sheen, you’re effin’ awesome.”
Mr. Dorner also lauded President Obama, Hillary Rodham Clinton and Sen. Dianne Feinstein, among many others. He also blasted the NRA’s Wayne LaPierre, calling him “vile” and “inhumane.”
The former police officer is still on the run.
