One person was killed and another critically injured after a double shooting Tuesday evening in Forestville, Prince George's County police said.
The shooting, which happened around 5:30 p.m., came on the heels of a 5 p.m. press conference at which top police officials provided updates on an investigation into the fatal shooting earlier this week of a 15-year-old Suitland High School student.
Few details were immediately available about the two victims, who were shot in the 3700 block of Donnell Drive.
Police said an 18 year-old was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. He was a ninth grade student also at Suitland High School.
Officials said there was no indication the shooting was related to the earlier fatal shooting of the 15-year-old, Charles M. Walker Jr.
