Just a few days after Ray’s Hell Burger closed its doors, the Star Brewery in Dubuque, Iowa, is now closed.
President Obama visited Ray’s Hell Burger twice — first with Vice President Joe Biden in 2009 and again with Russian president Dmitry Medvedev a year later — helping gain notoriety for the D.C. burger joint. The restaurant closed its doors on Saturday.
Now, just six months after Obama made a campaign stop at the Star Brewery in Dubuque, the shop is now apparently closed.
A sign posted on the front door says the business is “permanently closed,” THonline.com reports.
