A 25-year-old man was in critical condition after the car he was driving was hit by a train.
Prince George’s County fire department spokesman Mark Brady said the man was attempting to cross street-level tracks along Brandywine Road. The crossing does not have protective gates, and the train struck the car.
Mr. Brady said the man was flown by helicopter to a hospital where he was in critical condition.
