LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Boy Scouts score win for the right

Robert Knight’s recent piece is a well-reasoned and articulate affirmation of the Boy Scouts’ “right to their own moral standards” in the face of unrelenting attacks from proponents of evil (“Boy Scouts prevail after 11-year battle,” Commentary, Jan. 15).

With the paradoxical decision from the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals (of all places), this decision underscores the importance of the Scouts’ heroic effort to stay faithful to their advocacy of character-building values. A three-fingered salute is due Mr. Knight from this old Eagle Scout for his courage and dedication.
