A senior level member of Hezbollah is believed to have been part of an envoy that was hit by a bomb blast hear the border between Lebanon and Syria.
Two were injured in the road bomb, Ynet News reported. Authorities haven't confirmed the identities of the victims, but the state-run National News Agency said the two were bodyguards for a leading Hezbollah official in the convoy.
It's not clear whether the bombing was an assassination attempt, authorities said.
Security forces in Lebanon said the bomb seemed to have been detonated remotely, as the convoy of Shiite militant members neared the border. The blast tore at a Jeep, and the two victims were taken to an area hospital, Ynet News reported.
