In my opinion, a new buzz phrase should be added to the American lexicon: "race-oil salesman" to describe those silver-tongued but absolutely self-serving individuals who sell nothing of racial value to those eager for racial solutions to fabricated racial issues, and all for a quick buck.
We all know who they are, and they know in their own hearts what they're doing. At some point, everyone will notice that these false kings are ultimately responsible in this life and the next for what they've done to innocent souls of all races and sexes.
America can begin the healing if it wants to — by ignoring the "race-oil salesmen" and admitting that bias of any kind against any human being is counter-productive to what we all truly want. We can dismiss those who derive profit of any kind from creating hatred between us and begin the process of rebuilding what has been needlessly torn apart.
As Americans, we can denounce the constant drumbeat of anger that comes from Washington every day, and demand peaceful solutions that are born in our hearts, not the twisted hearts of politicians. It is our sacred duty to demand that if we are not allowed to do so, we will unite without them.
The only honest conversation we need to have about race in America is the one that snuffs out racism when it happens, wherever it happens — not false racism created by "race-oil salesmen" to line greedy pockets but real racism that takes away opportunity, dignity and honor from all Americans.
As long as there are people, there will be racism. Unfortunately, that is just a fact. We are only the custodians of this time in history; we are not the owners. I think we should give the next set of custodians a solid baseline to work with in the future by telling the "race-oil salesmen" that we're not doing things their way anymore.
