Amanda Bynes showed up to a New York court Tuesday sporting an aqua-blue wig as she faces charges for tossing a marijuana bong from the window of her 36th-floor Manhattan apartment in May.
The 27-year-old actress is charged with reckless endangerment and attempted tampering with physical evidence, The Associated Press reported.
She didn't speak during the hearing, and the judge postponed it until Sept. 26.
The "Hairspray" star was arrested May 23 after officers said they saw heavy smoke and a bong sitting on the kitchen counter in her apartment. They said she tossed the bong out the window in front of them, prosecutors said.
Ms. Bynes is a frequent Twitter enthusiast and was posting tweets until the wee hours of Tuesday morning. She didn't mention her court appearance but posted three tweets as early as 5 a.m. about her recent rhinoplasty.
"My Surgeon Broke My Nose During My Surgery But Hasn't Finished My Nose! It's Still Broken And I Can't Breathe!" she said.
The troubled actress started a Twitter storm on Monday after she called President Obama and the first lady "ugly."
