Whether is was conjuring new dance moves, writing chart-topping hits, dangling toddlers over balconies or buying a laboratory chimp named Bubbles, Michael Jackson, the King of Pop, always found a way to shock the world.

Jackson died four years ago Tuesday from cardiac arrest caused by a lethal combination of prescription drugs. His death was later ruled a homicide, and Dr. Conrad Murray was sentenced to a maximum penalty of four years in prison.

Jackson is survived by his three children, Prince Michael Jackson II, Michael Joseph Jackson Jr. and Paris-Michael Katherine Jackson.

Paris, 15, hit headlines earlier this month when she allegedly attempted suicide after dealing with a long bout of depression. A source told E! Online that “she is doing a lot better” but “has a while to go.”
