Friday dawned in Israel with the gathering of tens of thousands for a massive gay pride through Tel Aviv.

The city is considered one of the most welcoming for gays in the world, The Associated Press reported.

It’s also the only place in the Middle East where homosexual couples can openly show affection, and it’s rated a top travel destination by the gay community, AP said.

Even politicians are getting into the Friday festivities, and AP said dozens are expected to join the march — alongside drag queens.

The parade comes on the heels of arrests made earlier in the week in a four-year-old criminal investigation involving the killing of two homosexuals at a gay youth facility in Tel Aviv.
