New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg remains the only donor to his super PAC, Independence USA, donating another $2 million to the group, Politico reports.
The 13th-richest man in the world donated about $12 million to the group in February. The group went into March with $100,000. The mayor founded the PAC in order to target against pro-NRA or pro-gun candidates.

The mayor’s last triumph was the defeat of the National Rifle Association-friendly Deborah Halvorson in the House special primary election to replace former Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr., in Illinois. Robin Kelly won the election by 52 percent to 25 percent.
Mr. Bloomberg’s group made Ms. Kelly’s win a test case for curbing the power of the NRA, Politico reports.
