Finally, close to 2 a.m., a stabbing was reported at the Northeast nightclub Fur.
Details on the incident were vague, including whether the stabbing occurred inside or outside the club, but Officer Gant said a man was stabbed in the chest and arm.
No information was available on his condition or on any potential suspects.
The mega-club came under scrutiny in March when 13 people were injured in a drive-by shooting outside a nearby affordable housing complex. Several of the victims and at least one of the shooters were at the club earlier that night, but police never identified any sort of dispute at the club that could have led to the shooting.
When violence breaks out at city nightclubs, Police Chief Cathy L. Lanier has typically shut the clubs for a 72-hour period. Police officials could not say Monday whether she planned to close the club after the latest incident.
