Supreme CourtJustice Antonin Scalia doesn’t seem to personally think much of his time on the high court, saying he still “has nothing to show” for his 27 years as a justice.

And he seems to have a longing for the conservative politics of the Lone Star State.

He made his comments on Monday in Austin while there swearing in new Texas Supreme Court Chief Justice Nathan Hecht

“I do fit right in here,” said Justice Scalia, adding that if he weren’t a Virginian he’d “probably want to be a Texan.”

Gov. Rick Perry had suggested moments earlier that Texas and its fiercely conservative politics suited Justice Scalia, who was appointed to the nation’s highest court in 1986. He is the longest-serving Supreme Court justice.
