Craig Robinson: ‘The Office’ star tries to board plane with ecstasy, pot

- The Washington Times - Thursday, October 10, 2013

"The Office" star Craig Robinson was arrested for drug possession in the Bahamas Thursday after trying to board a plane with half a gram of marijuana and 18 ecstasy pills, TMZ reported.

The 41-year-old actor, who also had roles in "This is the End" and "Pineapple Express," was in the Bahamas for a comedy show at the Atlantis hotel.

Mr. Robinson pled guilty before a magistrate to two counts of drug possession, TMZ reported. He could have faced up to four years in prison, but was able to walk away with a $1,000 fine. He was ordered to leave the country as soon as possible, the report said.

According to TMZ, the actor said he wasn't aware the drugs were illegal in the Bahamas and that he brought them over from the United States.

Mr. Robinson was arrested in 2008 for possession of MDMA and meth, but the charges were thrown out after he completed a drug diversion program.
