‘South Park’ blows deadline for first time ever

- The Washington Times - Thursday, October 17, 2013

An ill-timed power outage caused the politically incorrect creators of South Park to miss their deadline for the first time ever in the show's 13 years of production.

"From animation to rendering to editing and sound, all of their computers were down for hours and they were unable to finish episode 1704 'Goth Kids 3: Dawn of the Posers' in time for air tonight," Comedy Central said in a statement Wednesday.

A repeat, "Scott Tenorman Must Die," was shown Wednesday night instead.

"No new episode tonight, but we WILL be airing "Scott Tenorman Must Die". And we'll be LIVE TWEETING it. #SouthParkBlackout #ScottTenorman," a Twitter account for the show posted Wednesday.

Co-creator Trey Parker didn't seem too fazed by the missed deadline.

"I guess it was bound to happen," he said, according to the Associated Press.
