A Reston teen died two days after being shot, Fairfax County police said Sunday.

Juan Carlos Godoy, 17, was shot by an acquaintance in the 2200 block of Marginella Drive in Reston, police said.

Police were called to the home at about 10:15 a.m. Friday for reports of a shooting.

Javier DeJesus Martinez, 26, of the 2200 block of Marginella Drive was charged with possession of a firearm by an illegal alien.

Police said they were investigating whether the shooting was an accident.
