FORT SMITH, Ark. (AP) - An environmental workshop for residents and businesses in the Poteau watershed has been rescheduled to later this month after being postponed due to icy weather.

The Arkansas Watershed Stewards workshop is now set for April 23 at the Janet Huckabee Arkansas River Valley Nature Center in Fort Smith.

The workshop is free to residents and business owners in Polk, Scott and Sebastian counties who want to learn more about water quality.

At the end of the event, participants will be considered a watershed steward with specific knowledge about local water concerns and how local actions can affect water quality.
