On April 11, National Public Radio show host Diane Rehm, with a decidedly liberal bias, spent much of her show decrying the secrecy behind salaries. It seemed to me that Ms. Rehm was advocating more transparency to make it easier for women to bring lawsuits on the issue of compensation, but when a caller to the show asked about Ms. Rehm’s own salary, Ms. Rehm declined to reveal it.
This is typical behavior of the political left; namely, transparency for thee, but not for me. It reminded me of Sen. Dianne Finestein’s flap over NSA spying. Now I understand the saying “Hypocrisy is the tribute that vice pays to virtue.”
