PHOENIX (AP) - Phoenix police say a boy was seriously injured while riding on the bumper of a vehicle.

KNXV-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1hfxnEb) that Sgt. Steve Martos says the boy remained in extremely critical condition Sunday after falling off the bumper of his stepfather’s car while it was in motion.

Martos says the stepfather was driving at the time of the incident Saturday evening.

It is not known if the stepfather will face any charges.

Police did not release the boy’s name or any other identifying information.
