LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) - Authorities say a man was arrested by Lynchburg police after a loaded gun was found in his carry-on baggage at Lynchburg Regional Airport.

The Transportation Security Administration says the .38-caliber handgun with five rounds was found Thursday as the bag passed through an X-ray machine. The TSA says Lynchburg police officers confiscated the handgun and arrested the traveler on a weapons charge.

The man’s name was not available Friday from the Lynchburg Police Department. He was from Bedford, Ind., and was traveling to Indianapolis.
