PROVO, Utah (AP) - Provo Mayor John Curtis is asking for the public’s help as the city teams with federal authorities to find one or more arsonists responsible for a series of fires in Utah County.

Curtis held a news conference Wednesday to discuss the task force he has formed to solve the apparent string of arson fires in the area.

Three more fires Tuesday brought the total number of blazes to 10 since March 13. Most have involved abandoned buildings.

The mayor says federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agents are working with Provo fire investigators.

The Deseret News reports (http://bit.ly/1hkTYnb) neighborhood groups have been asked to identify vacant properties that could be targeted.

Police say they have no suspects.

The city has posted a $5,000 reward for information.
