BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Livonia High School’s football and baseball teams have been sanctioned by the Louisiana High School Athletic Association for each allowing an ineligible transfer student to play in the past academic year.

The LHSAA says Livonia must forfeit seven football games, including the two playoff games it won over Carroll and Church Point before falling to Union Parish in the state Class 3A championship.

The baseball team must forfeit 18 games.

The LHSAA says both violations were self-reported and that the fine for each violation is $200.

Football coach David Brewerton and baseball coach Jason Lemoine each have been ordered to enroll in a review course regarding LHSAA rules.

The LHSAA does not release the names of students involved in violations.
