FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) - Authorities have released the identity of the second person killed in a January apartment building fire in Fairbanks after DNA testing was completed.

The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports (http://is.gd/Bw8aIg) the victim was identified as 39-year-old Kristina Pence, who lived on the second floor.

The fire was reported early the morning of Jan. 29 in a two-story building in west Fairbanks. There were offices and a secondhand furniture store on the first floor and 18 apartments on the second.

The bodies of two women were found in the rubble in the following days. One body was identified as 50-year-old Jane Connolly. Officials had to wait for DNA testing to confirm Pence’s identity.
