FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Gov. Steve Beshear and first lady Jane Beshear are inviting visitors to downtown Frankfort for the annual Governor’s Derby Celebration.

The May 3 event will include a farmer’s market, arts and crafts, children’s games and live music.

This year’s celebration will also include the third annual Derby Dash, sponsored by the Frankfort YMCA. Visitors will also be able to tour the Capital City Museum, the Thomas D. Clark History Center, the Old State Capitol and the Old Governor’s Mansion.

First Christian Church on the corner of Ann Street and Broadway will be offering breakfast food for sale, including sausage biscuits, pastries, coffee and juice.
