BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) - Work is scheduled to begin next month on a $3.2 million upgrade to the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse at Montana State University.

School officials say the renovation will include a new running surface for indoor track, upgraded seating, a new sound system and curtains. The school replaced the basketball floor a few years ago.

MSU track and cross-country coach Dale Kennedy says he’s excited about the new track surface floor, especially since the current surface has been in place since 1980.

The lower-level seats in the arena will be replaced with seats that have backrests and cup holders while the curtains will give facility staff the ability to separate areas of the building.

The Brick Breeden Fieldhouse was built in 1957.
