MERRIMACK, N.H. (AP) - Someone has stolen a 100-pound bronze plaque from the front of the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Merrimack, New Hampshire.

The 2-foot-by-2-foot plaque is a replica of the national VFW seal and is worth about $2,000.

Police are offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person or people who took the plaque.

Michael Theroux, the local post manager and state VFW's sergeant at arms, says it's a key piece of the building's honor wall.
