PHOENIX (AP) - A constituent-services worker in state Attorney General Tom Horne’s office has resigned, citing alleged violations of campaign law.

Sarah Beattie’s April 22 resignation email doesn’t specify the alleged violations but says she decided to leave because she’s concerned that they could put her at risk legally.

Horne spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham says Horne denies Beattie’s allegation that there have been violations and calls her allegation a “complete fabrication.”

Beattie has done volunteer work as a fundraiser for Horne’s campaign. State law bars workers from doing political work on state time.

Beattie’s last day at the office was Friday.
