ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - A California woman wanted in connected with what federal authorities say was a gang-related mass stabbing has been arrested in Albuquerque.

The U.S. Marshals Service announced Wednesday that Maria Cathy Tercero was caught this week following a long investigation.

Authorities say Tercero was charged in August 2012 in connection with a mass stabbing of several victims.

According to authorities, Tercero and three other gang members held down several victims from a rival gang and stabbed them multiple times.

Federal agents recently received tips that Tercero was living in Albuquerque, where she was arrested Monday.

Officials say Tercero is being held on $1.1 million bail and will be extradition back to California.

It was not known if she had an attorney.
