DAVENPORT, Iowa (AP) - Davenport police say cameras were found in restroom stalls at an elementary school.

The Quad-City Times reports (http://bit.ly/1grpc7s ) staff at Hayes Elementary School on Wednesday discovered three cameras placed in two stalls in a girls restroom.

Police on Thursday say it appears the cameras were in place for only a short period before being discovered.

Investigators were continuing to search for the person or persons who installed the cameras.

The discovery prompted school district employees to search other schools, but no cameras or other suspicious devices were found.

The school district notified Hayes parents by email and phone, and a letter was sent home with students.
