WARTBURG, Tenn. (AP) - The new park movie for the Obed Wild and Scenic River is premiering next month in Wartburg.

The film is about 15 minutes long and will be shown every half-hour. Live music will be provided by the Shelter Road Band.

More than a year went into making the movie. Footage was shot across all four seasons and featured park activities such as hiking, rock climbing, whitewater paddling, fishing and camping.

The National Park Service says the film crew from Silver Fir Media encountered ice storms, Class IV rapids and steeply overhanging cliffs for a previously unseen look at the park.

The free event is from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. EDT May 23 at the park’s visitor center.
