YONKERS, N.Y. (AP) - A mudslide caused by heavy rains knocked out a pair of Metro-North tracks in Yonkers and delayed trains on the commuter rail’s Hudson Line.

The Journal-News of Westchester reports (https://lohud.us/1rHvvtB ) that a retaining wall collapsed Wednesday around 6:30 p.m., sending mud and rocks onto the tracks.

The newspaper says Metro-North continued to run trains on two tracks adjacent to those affected by the mudslide while crews worked to rid the area of debris.

Metro North reported Hudson Line delays of up to 15 minutes due to the mudslide.

Westchester, Rockland, Orange and Putnam counties remain under a flood warning until 4 a.m., Thursday. The National Weather Service says some parts of the area could total up to 4 inches of rain.
