A hit-and-run driver crashed into a central Florida day care Wednesday afternoon, killing one person and injuring at least 11 others, police said.

The crash happened shortly after 3 p.m. at Goldenrod Road KinderCare in East Orange County, WESH-TV reported.

At least two children injured in the accident have been rushed to Arnold Palmer Hospital, reported WFTV.

Law enforcement officials said the vehicle was last seen heading into Seminole County. It's described as a silver Dodge Durango with front-end damage and a front fender hanging off the vehicle.
