FORKS, Wash. (AP) - An escapee from the Olympic Corrections Center has been captured about 10 miles north of the Forks prison.

The Department of Corrections says Aaron Richard Brown was apprehended by a staff member about 9:30 a.m. Friday and is back in custody.

The 37-year-old from Snohomish County had escaped Thursday from the minimum-security prison, a day after he was transferred from the Washington Corrections Center at Shelton. He’s serving a two-year sentence for drug possession.
