LONDON (AP) - Sweden defender Martin Olsson has been banned for three matches for pushing a referee in the chest after being shown a red card while playing for Norwich in an English second-tier game.

The English Football Association said Monday that Olsson admitted to a misconduct charge following the incident in Norwich’s League Championship match against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Aug. 10.

Olsson was also fined 3,000 pounds ($5,000).
