Maryland learned Thursday its first basketball game as a member of the Big Ten will be at one of the conference’s perennial powerhouses.

The Terrapins will travel to East Lansing to face Michigan State on Dec. 30 in their conference opener, with Minnesota visiting College Park on Jan. 3 for Maryland’s home opener.

Maryland opens its season Nov. 14 at home against Wagner, beginning a non-conference slate that includes games against Arizona State, Virginia at Oklahoma State.
