EVERETT, Wash. (AP) - A 60-year-old man found in Lynnwood, Washington, with a missing 14-year-old Snohomish girl has been jailed for investigation of second-degree kidnapping.

The Daily Herald of Everett reports (http://is.gd/dKKnvh ) that bail was set Friday at $100,000 for Albino Estrada Montano.

Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Shari Ireton says the arrested man is accused of encountering the girl in a restaurant Wednesday morning, persuading her to take the bus with him to Lynnwood, threatening her and telling her to take pills. Police say the girl has the mental capacity of an 8-year-old.

Ireton says the girl reports that the man refused to let her go home and told her to tell anyone who asked that he was her grandfather.

They reportedly spent Wednesday night at the home of an acquaintance.

Ireton says the girl appeared uninjured when she was found Thursday, thanks to alert employees at a Lynnwood grocery store.

Family friends tell The Herald she remains upset and is having trouble understanding what happened.
