HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP) - An anonymous donor is challenging Harrisonburg residents to drop money in the Salvation Army’s kettles.

Harrisonburg Salvation Army director of financial development David Sears tells the Daily News-Record (http://bit.ly/1wdQeXx ) that the donor will match up to $4,000 in donations through Wednesday.

The Red Kettle campaign’s goal is $160,000. The organization says the campaign is almost $10,000 behind where it was at this time in 2013.

Sears says he’s confident that the campaign will meet its goal. The campaign runs through Wednesday.
